Dr. V.J.S. Vohra, alongwith his father Late Col. D.S. Vohra, established Nevedac Prosthetic Centre (NPC) in 1973. Dr. Vohra was whole time Director of NPC and later its Chairman & Managing Director. Dr. V.J.S. Vohra is actively involved since 1973 in the profession of Prosthetics and Orthotics, dealing with upper & lower limbs and spinal orthoses patients. He has full knowledge of all types of prosthetic and orthotic appliances, measurements/plaster casts, cast modification, fabrication, alignment, fitting of prostheses and orthoses, patient care & management and orthopaedic assistive devices.

Besides many other innovations, Dr. Vohra has designed and developed Electronic Hand, Battery operated Wheel Chair and Above Knee modular prosthesis. These are very reasonably priced. Though these products are fabricated from indigenous raw materials, they are of International Standards. These are first of its kind in India.

Dr. Vohra is also Managing Trustee of Jyot Charitable Trust , Chandigarh. JYOT is a registered charitable trust, established by Dr. Vohra in 1998 to empower and rehabilitate the physically challenged persons, to help the poor patients get artificial limbs and to assist Prosthetic Centres & institutions. Jyot has been providing yeoman services towards the cause of disabled persons.

Dr. Vohra is also CEO & Prosthetic Consultant of MediRehab Systems , Chandigarh. This company is authorized dealer of ENDOLITE India Ltd., Regional Dealer & Authorized Fitting Centre of the world renowned, Otto Bock HealthCare India Pvt. Ltd and provides high tech state-of-the art lower and upper Prosthetic systems. Under guidance of Dr. Vohra, MediRehab is working on micro-processor controlled upper artificial limbs.

Has keen interest in High Technology development, especially in field of Prosthetics - Orthotics.

Visited National Centre for Training and Education in Prosthetics and Orthotics, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland (U.K.). Also visited Chas A. Blatchford & Sons Ltd (Endolite Limbs).
